Accepting Your Time Here

“The trouble is you think you have time.”There’s a great quote floating around on the Internet, and it’s been attributed to so many people that at this point it doesn’t really matter who wrote it. It reads, “The trouble is you think you have time.”

And for most of us, it’s true. We do think we have time. All the time in the world. But as the years pass and you reach the point where you likely have fewer years ahead than behind, you realize that there isn’t anything in this life more precious than time.

The question most of us ask when we reach this point is, “What should I do with the time I have left?” And that’s the toughest question of all. No one wants to look back with regrets. Everyone wants to think that they had an impact on this tired old world, that they made a difference, but in the day-to-day it’s difficult to even find the time to dwell on time.

The thing to keep in mind is that regardless of your circumstances or your station in life, your legacy is entirely up to you. You can spend your time however you see fit. Just remember that as long as you’re kind and thoughtful and respectful, there’s no wrong way to live your life.

And make sure to use at least some of that time to have the time of your life.
